Who we are
We track data centres, oil and gas facilities, industrial plants, factories, commercial buildings and residential compounds, and match each to the manufacturers whose products they need.
In Arabic, mawrid means a source: the watering place travellers return to. That is what we want to be for our partners, the place they come back to for every next project.
The founder
Founder & Managing Partner
Moataz Mahmoud
A business development and project intelligence specialist who has spent his career on the supplier side of MEP and light-current projects across the Middle East and Africa: finding them, winning them and supplying them.
Over his career, including as Business Development Manager at Cummins Inc., he has delivered more than 200 large-scale projects worth over US$250 million across the Middle East and Africa, from the first project lead to the final delivery on site.
He has supported more than 50 factories to start, operate and export from Egypt, has helped companies source products globally, and has worked with technology manufacturers including Dell, Aruba and Juniper.
He founded Mawrid to bring both halves of that work into one place: the intelligence to find the right project, and the sourcing to supply it.
He also serves as Consular Representative for the Arab Republic of Egypt with the Arab International Organization – Arab Ambassadors Authority.
